Shop Audio Tours

Audio tours are self-guided walks that let you explore at your own pace while listening to stories unfold through your headphones. Instead of following a group, you follow a narrative — guided by a local voice that shares the history, architecture, and hidden corners of the city as you walk.

All audio experiences are available on VoiceMap platform

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT AUDIO TOURS OF NEW YORK CITY

Brilliant, funny (my teenage son and I laughed a lot – eg the references to Ruby. My son is studying history at Oxford University and said he loved this tour and hopes you have them in other cities round the world! Pitched just right – you don’t need to know anything about history to be entranced by the feuding of the Astors and the Vanderbilt. Our jaws dropped at some of the anecdotes and don’t want to spoil some of the surprises including some very up-to-date badly behaved members of the elite. Highly recommend!

10/10 and I would DEFINITELY do it again! This was amazing in its storytelling, pacing and navigation. Everything was perfectly timed and intriguing. I travel frequently and will be looking for one of these tours in every city and neighborhood! Bravo!

Such an interesting tour. So clever that it uses GPS to guide you when you get to the right place. Great value compared with a walking tour, and can do it when convenient for you.

I loved this one. There is so much history and I’d allow a little extra time because you’re gonna find yourself Googling things and going down rabbit holes. The storytelling is fantastic and it really covers a lot in the amount of time allowed. Highly recommend!

Excellent! Gave me a wonderful overview and yet still included so many details that could easily be overlooked. Well written and presented. Stories were just the right length.

The Heart of Harlem: A Walk through 400 Years of History

I have been visiting NY city for years, yet somehow never made my way to Harlem. Recently, I saw a Harlem tour offered on Voice map, so I decided to give a go. I am so glad I did. I was very impressed with how the tour is put together. Its very informative and interesting, especially for someone like me who knew very little about the place. By the of it the picture of a neighborhood filled with history, unique culture and beautiful landmarks came to life. I would highly recommend this tour.
